Pat and Ken Larson, husband and wife, are a collaborative team, working together on every piece, each in his/her area of expertise. Pat received her Bachelor of Science degree in Art from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 1975, and Ken received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 1974.
Techniques used include horse hair raku, naked raku, and reduced or blackened raku.
The size range of their work encompasses small to medium "table or
shelf" vessels, mid to large "focal point" vessels and
sculpture, and wall reliefs that cover a 3'x3' area to larger groupings of
tiles that can easily cover a 10' W x 4' H wall area.
